No Events or Vendors inside the city of mb. -- Only Tourist

Bike Week draws over 300,000 motorcycle enthusiasts, spending over 300 million dollars in lodging, restaurants, fuel, and entertainment from Little River to Georgetown.   The motorcycle enthusiasts do not arrive all at once.  Many women riders arrive for the first weekend with friends and families celebrating Mothers Day.   Others arrive on Monday and leave Thursday.   Like all events, no matter what they are the weekend always draws the largest attendance   No matter when the motorcycle enthusiasts arrive many visit attractions from, Wilmington NC to Charleston SC.

The turn of the century brought a huge housing and commercial building boom into the area, but not in road construction.   Monies are earmarked for road construction but they are years from being built.  In the meantime we will all have to deal with major traffic problems, all over the Grand Strand, especially during the summer months.

These Rules will be in effect year-round -- Not just for the Month of May
The city of myrtle beach passed restrictive ordinances (links listed below) targeting the May Rallies.  Both rallies, Bike Week & Black Bike Week, brought an estimated 500,000 visitors (tourist) to the Grand Strand area.  NOT in the city of mb.   The city of myrtle beach has never been a sponsor or host of Bike Week.  These new ordinances apply ONLY inside the city limits of myrtle beach NOT in Horry County or surrounding Counties and Cities
***  There are no bike events (vendors) inside the city limits of mb.
***  All events (vendors) are outside the city in Horry County, Murrells Inlet or North Myrtle Beach.

The Grand Strand is a tourist destination and throughout the Grand Strand there are thousands of motel- hotel rooms, condos for rent, and rental homes.   Every day a unit is vacant is lost revenue.   The city of myrtle beach can't stop you from visiting and supporting the businesses that support Bike Week during Bike Week or any time of the year.

A business that has a license to do business year round in the City of MB should have the right to advertise their business whenever and wherever they deem necessary to attract customers.  Yes there are businesses inside the city limits of myrtle beach that do support Bike Week and welcome Motorcycle Enthusiast.   Support the Business that advertises on this web site, they Support Bike Week.

Even in hard times motorcycle events will draw motorcycle enthusiast if only for a brief period of time.   I'm sure motorcycle enthusiast is welcome in all cities and states in the US as long as you obey the state and local laws.  Respect the community you are visiting.
